Oh Foie Gras, how I love you. Your buttery taste and the way you melt in my mouth tickles my fancy just so. On a cracker or as a croquette, I fawn over you.
But alas, not everyone feels the way I do.
Restaurants in Orange County have been warned by protesters that they will picket if this delicacy is served, so many have given in and are removing it from their menus. West Hollywood has also announced that they are supporting a foie gras ban, going into effect in July 2012.
Sad for foodies. Happy for sad ducks and geese!
